Cherry Angiomas are common skin growths, they are usually small however can range in size, they have a circular or oval shape and are bright red in colour due to the broken blood vessels inside them. The cherry angioma can be smooth or raised from the skin, and most often grow on the torso, arms and shoulders. It is unknown what causes cherry angiomas however there is a link with age as they usually appear in people 30+ and can increase in size and numbers as you age.
Cherry Angiomas are harmless however can severely bleed if scratched, rubbed or cut open this is one of the common reasons for removal however they can also be unsightly and affect your self esteem which is another reason for removal.
Removal with Cryotherapy:
Aesthetics of London uses an advanced cryotherapy innovation that
is a fast, effective, safe and new solution for removal
of skin imperfections. Procedures typically last from
5 to 25 seconds, so you can be in and out of the clinic
quickly.
The device emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under
high pressure, which allows the clinician to work with
millimetre precision. This destroys the tissue by
freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards
and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby
destroying the cell. That means there will be no
collateral damage to healthy tissue. It’s so incredibly
accurate and practical.
Cosmetic procedures such as skin tags, milia and
cherry angiomas are no longer being treated by many
doctors on the NHS. With Aesthetics of London you can now
have these treatments in the beauty clinic.
